Raymond E. Harden, 81, of Hillsdale, Indiana and formerly of Brownsburg died Sunday, February 12, 2017. He was a retired truck driver with Reel Pipe and Valve at Indianapolis with 40 years of service. He was born May 17, 1935 in Bloomington, Indiana to the late Ray Harden and Maudeline Barnes Harden. His wife of 59 years, Patsy L. Nickels Harden whom he married April 2, 1955 in Dana died July 12, 2014. Survivors include one brother, Larry Harden of Ellettsville; one sister, Joan Roberts of Indianapolis; two nieces, Nancy (Bob) Contri and Debbie (Dave) Greeves both of Hillsdale and several nieces and nephews out of the area. He was preceded in death by a sister Sharon Hagen. He was a 1953 graduate of Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis. He was a Marine Veteran serving during the Korean War. He member the Dana First United Methodist Church. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Speedway post 2839 and the Teamsters local 716 in Indianapolis. Services will be 12 noon Saturday, February 18, at Overpeck-Gooch Funeral Home, 225 N. Maple Street, Dana, with the Rev. Donald Graham officiating. Burial will follow at Bono Cemetery, Dana. Visitation is from 10:00 am until 12 noonSaturday at Overpeck-Gooch Funeral Home.
